We had a blast.
Our friends have been telling us about this place for almost a year. And even though they had friends in town, they let us tag along and we finally made the trek out there.
On our way we stopped at a hole-in-the-wall burger joint. It was SO GOOD. This meat-loving, hamburger-craving pregnant woman was happy. And so was the rest of the family. (Matthew was nicknamed "the fry guy.") The food was great, the service was great, the prices were great and the company was great. We will definitely head back. (And it was called "Mel's." Love that.)
The drive-in was packed, (the weather was perfect that day), but we still got some great spots down in the front. The kids ran around and played until it got dark enough to start the movie. I took lots of pictures, but most didn't turn out. Here's a few though that did.
The movie was just right for the kids. After sitting in camping chairs and eating some snacks, we put their pajama's on and they climbed into the back of a van with their friends, pillows and blankets. They were on cloud nine.
It made for a very late night, but was such a fun, new thing to do. We will definitely go again.
