New Favorite

You know how children will become "obsessed" with a certain toy or book for a while? Where they want it everyday? Where it's all they talk about?



We've got a new favorite in the house.

And it's everyone's favorite. :) (Thank goodness everyone agrees.)

We are obsessed with all things Arnold Lobel.

Now, I know immediately that Frog and Toad jumped into your mind.

Oh yes. We LOVE Frog and Toad. How can you not? Really?

But we've found other Arnold Lobel books that are also just as witty, clever, innocent and fun including: Owl At Home, Uncle Elephant, Grasshopper on the Road, and Small Pig.

We currently have audio CDs of the entire Frog and Toad collection and all these other stories checked out from the local library.

And we're listening to them constantly. At home and in the car.

Or we're reading them.

Or we're quoting them to each other and laughing. :)

They are funny. They are touching. They are witty. They are clever. They make you want to hug someone. They make you laugh. They make you just a little sad sometimes too. They are innocent and wholesome. They teach about friendship, kindness and love.

They are helping us have fun this summer.

P.S. Don't worry. We'll be getting Mouse Tales and Mouse Soup soon. And looking up the many other books he authored that I've never heard of...
