Blueberries and Christmas in August

Since my parents came a few days before the baptism, and they've never been to Michigan before, we decided to go exploring and check out some things in the area.

On Monday morning we went blueberry picking in Dexter.

It was later in the season, so the blueberries weren't quite as big as I expected them to be, but they were still super sweet and we got quite a bunch before the kids started to whine. It's so fun taking kids to pick berries. They really enjoy it, until they get too hot, or hungry or their legs get so tired they're gonna fall off.
After picking blueberries, we drove up to Frankenmuth to check out the biggest Christmas store in the world - Bronners.

A countdown to Christmas. Love it!

If you love Christmas you would love this store! The kids had a hard time believing this place is open year round. They have ornaments for everyone. Seriously, I've never seen so many in my life. It was fun to see all the decorations inside and outside too. We'll definitely have to go back closer to Christmas to see the light displays.
