Finally! Jacob was one lucky boy this year. His first celebration was up in Tacoma right before we flew back to Texas. It was so close to his birthday we had a little family party with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Steve. He loved opening his presents and had a big cookie decorated with autobot and decepticon symbols.
Then, on his actually birthday, we had a little family celebration here with Daddy. Our neighbors came over for red and blue transformer cupcakes and Jacob had fun opening presents from us and Billy's parents. He was very excited to play with his transformers and legos!
But even with these two family parties, he kept saying he hadn't had his real birthday yet because he hadn't had a "real" birthday cake and friends over. :)
So today we finally had his "real" birthday party. :) We watched a little Transformer cartoon (thanks again Uncle Steve!), ran an obstacle course to see if we were strong and brave enough to fight decepticons, played Transformer Bingo, stick the autobot sticker on Bumblebee (the transformer, not the insect) and Pass the Parcel (with Transformer Fruit Snacks inside). We even took a pledge to help the autobots beat the decepticons :) and ate cake and ice cream. Jacob had a great time.
Here's the cake with Jacob's toy. I kept stealing his toy so I could figure out how to put the cake together and how to decorate it. It was my model. :)

Jacob, we are so glad you are in our family. You are funny and kind and we love you very much!

Thanks for inviting Shep. It was his first friend birthday party, actually. So nice!
And really, I'm still just so stunned by that cake. You are amazing! I know in Washington they have a cake decorating contest at the state fair. You should see if Texas does one and enter. Seriously. Good job!
