China

As I was tucking them in tonight:

Emily: Mommy, why are a lot of things that people have in Houston made in China? (She was looking at a book as she asked.)

Me: Well, China makes a lot of stuff.

Emily: China must be a nice state.

Me: Actually, China's a country, just like America.

Emily: They make stuff for just us?

Me: They make stuff for lots of people all over the world.

Emily: Are there kids there or just grown ups?

Me: There are kids and grown ups, just like here.

Emily: Oh. OK.


Oh to view the world as a six year old. :)
