The kids did it with Billy's mom right after I had the baby. They were able to go have a picnic without dying in the heat and humidity, because it was earlier in the day.
I decided we needed some fun stuff to do to keep everyone happy, so I loaded up some fruit, cereal and milk and we headed to the park.
We ate.
We watched the ants find and eat the food we dropped. (Ants LOVE Life cereal. Way more than grapes or strawberries.)
We played on the playground.
The kids ran an obstacle course race.
We kicked soccer balls from Uncle Steve.
We played hide and seek. (Megan woke up to play hide and seek.)
Emily got bit by an ant while hiding and ran, shrieking, out of her hiding spot. (It wouldn't be a summer in Texas without ant bites.)
We got hot and sweaty and went home.

What a cute idea!! You are such a fun mom - Getting out and making memories with your kids despite the heat and the new baby :). Way to go!
This looks like fun. What a clever idea. The stairs and slides look like they have dinosaur heads. Where is that park? Is it new?
You are such a great Mommy!! What a fun idea!
