Home For Christmas

We stayed home for Christmas this year.

On Christmas Eve, we made sugar cookies.

And we decorated sugar cookies. (with the missionaries)

We got ready for bed.

We all slept in our own beds and woke up on Christmas Day!
(No sofa beds. No blow up mattresses. Just our own beds in our own regular bedrooms. Nice.)

We opened presents.

We had sticky buns and hot chocolate for breakfast. (with some scrambled eggs)

We played.

(Daddy worked out and Mommy finished up her church lesson.)

We had chicken quesadillas for dinner.

**Note: Make sure you pull your frozen turkey out of the freezer early enough. I should have done it on Wednesday. Not Thursday. We had a yummy Christmas dinner, December 26th. :)

It was a good day.

wasn't it so nice not to have to sleep on someone else'es bed this year? we loved it! the kids look adorable in their jammies and megan looks too cute to not just eat in one sitting.

i'm glad you had a wonderful day. maybe i'll call you today : )

FUN!!! Wow, Emily looks so grown up. She has changes so much in just the past couple of months.

Isn't it nice to be home? We've pretty much banned Christmas travel. We'll go before; we'll go after; but it's so much different and nicer and more relaxed and focused to be home with our little family on the holiday.
