So...

So, it's been awhile. Our darn computer got a little sick thanks to the rolling power outages last week no one warned us about.

But we're on the mend. :)

Here's what we've been up to:

8 months old!

Groundhog Day
We had "groundhog" in a hole - toad in a hole - for dinner. The kids thought it was awesome.

Chinese New Year
We had chicken lo mein. It was pretty good. The kids were so excited to use chopsticks.

A leaf from outside with the ice peeled off.

No Snow Snow-Day: Practically the entire city shut down in preparation for snow, and all we got was freezing rain, so we had ice everywhere. We stayed inside and enjoyed having daddy around for most of the day. It was pretty nice and made up for the fact that we didn't see daddy at all Saturday.

The start of some chocolate, chocolate cake balls.

About to mix yellow cake and caramel frosting cake balls.

Making cake balls. (Didn't have any popsicle sticks!) :) Yeah, I started taking pictures both times, but I never got a picture of them done; they disappeared so quickly. Will definitely be making them again though. (Note: we like them with a little less frosting than Bakerella recommends. The first batch was a little too mushy for our liking.) The kids, and the Elders, couldn't get enough! Literally.

Eating warm comfort foods. Try THIS next time it's cold out where you live. :)

Jacob doing some squats with weights.

Matthew attempting a sit up.
With Megan cheering him on! :)

Setting up exercise obstacle courses when it was too cold to go outside! Jacob set it up all by himself and they had a lot of fun.

Lots of cleaning.

Jacob dressed up as a penguin for Preschool. :) He was so excited.

Getting Valentine cards in the mail!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Teething. Megan got her first two teeth. At the same time. :) Yesterday. I always have mixed feelings when the teeth come in. So many possibilities for baby... but baby just isn't quite so baby-ish anymore.
