So the following are some pictures from our little family party. We were real low-key, and it was nice.

Jacob blew the first candle out pretty quickly, but it took a lot longer to get that second one!

Jacob was saying, "Car! Yum!" all weekend.
Jacob had fun opening presents, and even though Emily was just dying to rip into all that wrapping paper, she did pretty well and only helped when we asked her to. :)

But isn't this the best part of a birthday?! Finally getting to play with all those fun new toys! Happy Birthday Mr. Man!

Love reading your blog! We've been wondering how you guys are doing out in TX. Jacob's cake is amazing! And he is so big! not that we've seen your kids in the recent past at all...I think Jacob was a few months old the last time we saw you. Luke and jacob have the same pjs--the mixer truck and dump truck set, right? We will be looking forward to hearing how pre-k goes--can Emily really be that old already?! Seems like we were all just in Provo and newlyweds...
Hey, that car cake came out great. Good enough to eat.
You're so good.
Love the pix. Hope Jacob's foot is doing ok now. Those ants all over sound NASTY, like those itty-bitty frogs at the playground, (all over the place) only a lot meaner.
Looking forward to 'seeing' you Sunday.
There is nothing low key about that cake! Your cakes are always so cute. Happy Birthday to Jacob! I'm glad that he had a great day!
You always make such great cakes. It looks like he had a lot of fun. I can't believe he is already 2. He looks like his daddy:) I hope his foot is feeling better.
The car idea is so cute, Carter loves cars too!
