Life

We're taking it one day at a time right now.

We're adjusting to things being different with a baby in the house.

Some days we are rather busy.

Some days we don't do much.

Some days the kids are wonderful listeners and we get along great.

Some days they don't listen at all.

Emily has become a mini-mom. She helps me with Matthew (helping him in and out of bed, getting food and drinks for him, helping him dress, buckling his carseat, and even changing his diaper sometimes) and Megan. She also thinks it's great to make breakfast (cereal) or lunch (sandwiches). It is especially nice because Billy's not around much (no joke, ask my mom or Billy's).

Jacob is growing up. He loves to help too. (He's taken out the garbage for me, helped me with dishes, gotten things for the baby, etc...) He loves the responsibility - it makes him feel important. He can't quite do all Emily does, which is discouraging at times. His reading is improving all the time and remembers everything.

Matthew is a little parrot. He says new things everyday. He talked a lot before, but we understand him even better now. Overall he's handled Megan's arrival pretty well. He's definitely two and definitely testing him boundaries but we'll keep him.

So two.

You can do it! Thankfully I have helpers too now, when I had #4 I did not so much. Jacob was 4 at the time and it was HARD. But even though my husband is hardly ever around, a lot more now though than he was, I at least have two little helpers that do a lot. It is so nice that you do too. Hope for more of the good days for you!
